Steve is the President and CEO of Alaris and has served in that role since he co-founded the company in 2004. Mr. King has also served on the board of directors of Alaris since the company went public in 2008. Prior to creating Alaris, Steve spent 12 years in the investment banking industry in both Toronto and Calgary, advising both public and private company entrepreneurs on their capital raising needs. Mr. King is also a director of Metropolitan Investment Corporation, a private investment company. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of Alaris, Steve is involved in every facet of the investment process and is an integral part of the relationships that are created with each of Alaris’ partners. Steve is a married father of three children and an avid sports fan, player and coach.
Amanda currently holds the role of Chief Financial Officer at Alaris. Since her appointment in the fall of 2021, Amanda has been responsible for overseeing various key functions, including finance, treasury, investments, financial reporting, and corporate administration.
She initially joined Alaris in 2013 as the Vice President of Investments. In this role, she led the investment teams financial oversight of existing investments, as well as the financial aspects of transaction execution and due diligence for new investments. Prior to Alaris, Amanda worked as a Senior Manager in EY's Transaction Advisory group, offering a range of transaction-related services for both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
Amanda has been a Chartered Accountant in Canada since 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Mount Royal University, earned in 2004.

Mike is our Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. In this, Mike oversees all strategic and legal matters pertaining to potential and current partner investments, including legal diligence, documentation and transaction structure. Mike further has oversight over legal, governance, compliance and risk management strategies and activities. Prior to joining Alaris in October of 2013, Mr. Ervin was a corporate lawyer with Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, with a practice focusing on advising clients, including Alaris, on public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters and general corporate matters. Mr. Ervin received his Bachelor of Business Administration (with distinction) from the University of Regina in 2003, and his Bachelor of Laws (with distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2006 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2007.

Gregg Delcourt was appointed as Chief Investment Officer of Alaris on March 9, 2021. As CIO, Mr. Delcourt is responsible for origination, execution and portfolio management at Alaris, and has been key to the growth and quality of the Alaris portfolio of preferred and common equity investments. Prior thereto, Mr. Delcourt served as Senior Vice President, Small Cap Investments of Alaris and its predecessors since July of 2015. Prior to joining Alaris, Mr. Delcourt spent 17 years as an investment banker, most recently as Managing Director, Investment Banking at Raymond James. Prior thereto, Mr. Delcourt held the position of Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance. Since 1998, Mr. Delcourt has been active in financing private and public companies and has been active in advising management teams on raising capital, mergers & acquisitions and go public transactions, with a focus on small to mid-cap entities. Mr. Delcourt holds a Master of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and is a CFA® Charterholder.

Curtis has been with Alaris since 2006 and brings a broad range of knowledge and experience to the company. A Finance graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, Curtis has spent time in the Petroleum, Banking and Foreign Exchange Industries as well as in the Public Sector. Curtis is a deal lead and a senior relationship manager on several partner files and provides valuable operational and macro perspective during the due diligence and monitoring process. His daily function includes leading transactions, conducting operational due diligence and monitoring as well as managing the relationship between certain Partners and Alaris post-closing.

Dan is responsible for overseeing financial due diligence and execution on new investments. For existing partnerships, he is responsible for ongoing monitoring and supporting current investments. Prior to joining Alaris in February 2016, Dan served as an Associate in KPMG's Deal Advisory and Audit groups. He graduated with distinction from St. Francis Xavier University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and has been a Chartered Accountant since 2014.

Marla oversees the tax functions, including all tax aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, reorganizations and financings, as well as tax compliance and financial reporting. Ms. Evans joined Alaris in May 2016 after consulting with us for four years. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and has over 30 years of experience working in Canadian and International corporate tax.

As a tax and corporate attorney, Liz focuses on legal and tax diligence on new investments, existing partner monitoring, legal drafting, tax structuring (both domestic and international) and other more general legal and tax functions. Liz obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary in 2006, and her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2009 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2010.

Jordan advises on legal matters for Partner investments and assists with general legal and compliance-related functions. Before joining Alaris in 2019, he was a corporate attorney with Bennett Jones LLP in both the Calgary and Vancouver firm offices. Jordan's private-practice experience focused on a broad range of transaction-related matters, including private equity, public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Royal University and is a member of the bar in both Alberta and British Columbia. He is also a board member for The Impact Society for Children & Families in Turmoil, where he currently serves as Board Treasurer and as a member of the Finance Committee.

Shawn's efforts are focused on strengthening the company's well-established network of active investment community relationships as well as working to build new relationships that will help source new quality investment opportunities. Prior to joining Alaris, Shawn served as an Investment Banking Senior Associate with Capstone Headwaters, a middle-market M&A advisory firm in Denver, Colorado. Prior thereto, he held the position of Vice President, Investment Banking at Acumen Capital, where he was with the firm for over four years. Shawn graduated from the University of Denver, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary.

Brandon's efforts are focused on strengthening the company’s well-established network of active investment community relationships while working to build new relationships to help source new quality investment opportunities. Prior to joining Alaris, Brandon served as a Portfolio Manager at Rayne Capital, a diversified equity fund in Calgary. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen’s University.

Matt's work is focused on the ongoing financial and operational monitoring of current investments, assisting with the preparation of Alaris’ quarterly financial reporting requirements and to help with due diligence work on potential new partners. Prior to joining Alaris in May 2019, he served as a Controller at private real estate company in Calgary and was also an associate at KPMG LLP in the Audit group. Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012 and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2015.

Deanne Erker is the Controller at Alaris. She is responsible for overseeing the financial management systems and processes as well as the preparation of financial statements and reporting. Prior to joining Alaris, Deanne served as the controller of a public service company, where she maintained the financial system and supported leadership teams with respect to financially driven business results. Deanne articled at KPMG LLP as an associate in the Audit group, at which time she obtained her CPA, CA (2015). Deanne graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012.

LiAnn focuses on creating communications material and strategic marketing campaigns for the firm. She also manages quarterly financial calls, sponsorships as well as oversees all corporate events. In addition, LiAnn supports investor relations as well as preparation of annual disclosure documents. Prior to joining Alaris in August 2016, LiAnn held a Business Development and Marketing role at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. LiAnn graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce focused on marketing from the University of Calgary and holds her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Prior to joining Alaris in December 2020, Mary Beth spent 7 years working in public accounting and has practiced tax for 4 years, most recently as a Manager in the EY International Tax and Transaction Services group where she focused on providing tax structuring advice and performing buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence services for clients across various industries. Mary Beth also has experience with Canadian tax compliance and reporting. Mary Beth graduated from St. Francis Xavier University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2013 and received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2016.

Prior to joining Alaris in September 2021, Aaron spent 6 years working in public accounting in both Transaction Advisory and Audit. Aaron was most recently a Manager in the EY Strategy and Transactions group where he provided buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services for clients across various industries. As a part of his role at EY, Aaron worked as an advisor for Alaris on due diligence files regarding prospective partners. Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 2015 and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2018.

Prior to joining Alaris, Jake spent 3 years as a managerial accountant in the construction industry. This time was spent supporting large infrastructure and energy projects in Alberta, responsible for assisting with full cycle accounting and providing analysis and reporting to operations. Jake graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University in 2020 and is currently a CPA candidate, working towards completing his designation in 2025.

Jack’s efforts are focused on strengthening the company’s well-established network of investment community relationships while working to build new relationships to help source quality investment opportunities for Alaris and its current partner companies. Prior to joining Alaris, Jack served as an Investment Banking Analyst with CIBC Capital Markets. Jack graduated from Dalhousie University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction) with a Major in Finance and Minor in Economics.

Prior to joining Alaris, Connor held various roles within Roynat Capital, most recently as a Senior Associate within their private equity group, Roynat Equity Partners, where he was involved in all aspects of the investing process, including sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities while directly supporting the Western Canadian portfolio. Prior thereto, Connor was an Associate within the Corporate Finance division of BMO and was a Manager at MNP within the Assurance Services group.
Connor graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

Prior to joining Alaris, Anil spent 5 years in public accounting, most recently as a Manager in KPMG’s Canadian Corporate Tax practice. His work at KPMG focused on Canadian tax compliance and reporting for both public and private enterprises across various industries, along with providing tax structuring and modeling assistance.
Anil graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Management in 2017 and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2022.
